Clipsal 500 Adelaide - March 2007 A 4 Day Event The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is recognised as the best event on the Australian motor sport calendar. The drivers say it is the best, so do the teams, the sponsors, and of course the thousands of race fans. Goolwa Wooden Boat Festival March 2007 This popular festival for wooden boats is run every two years, south of Adelaide at the historic river town of Goolwa, which is at the mouth of the River Murray Steam powered paddle boats, wooden sailing boats, bands, the Stem Ranger Steam Trains, wooden boat building competitions just to name a few of the attractions. Oakbank Racing Carnival A Horse Racing Event Generations of families have enjoyed the atmosphere and excitement of the Oakbank Racing Carnival - The world's biggest picnic race meeting. New Photos From the 2005 Oakbank Easter Monday are here Situated just an easy 40 minute drive from Adelaide via the scenic Adelaide Hills and nearby award winning wineries. Oakbank is always a great day out for the entire family. It is held on two days, Easter Saturday & Easter Monday each year.

Adelaide Cup Carnival - Horse Racing Event March 2007 Each year Adelaide comes alive with race fever for the Smoke Free Adelaide Cup Carnival. Staged at the Morphettville Racecourse. The carnival attracts both local and interstate visitors and racing identities, and also offers great food and fashion, and a tremendous atmosphere. The carnival reaches its peak on Monday May 21st with the running of the Smoke - Free Adelaide Cup is run on a locally recognised public holiday.
McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival June 2006 - McLaren Vale About 20 wineries combine with top restaurants locally and from Adelaide to bring you just about every ocean delight you can imagine. Add a mix of Adelaide's top bands playing Classic Blues and Funky Jazz, all with the backdrop of the picturesque hills of the Mount Lofty Ranges & the vines of McLaren Vale.
Bay to Birdwood - Classic Cars Rally Sunday 24 September 2006 Staged annually on the last Sunday in September when more than 1500 vehicles line up to drive the 70km route from The Start at Adelaide Shores, West Beach to The Finish at the National Motor Museum Birdwood watched by over 100 000 spectators along the way. This icon major national event celebrates the history and culture ofthe motor vehicle in Australia, and is internationally acclaimed asthe largest most continually staged historic vehicle event held anywhere in the world. The “Run” held in even numbered years is for vintage/veteran vehiclesmanufactured pre 1955 whilst the “Classic” held in odd numbered years is for vehicles built post 1955 and at least 30 years old.Both events are accompanied by 12 days of daily motoring events hostedby individual vehicle clubs with entry open to anyone irrespective of theirmake/model/year of vehicle. The next Run will be held Sunday 24 September 2006 and the next Classicwill take place Sunday 30 September 2007. Jazz Festival October 2006 Glenelg This festival is held on the foreshore at Glenelg Beach and features all types of jazz music with performers appearing from all over the world. Great South Australian wines are on show with a large range of food styles.
