Clipsal
500 Adelaide - February 21, 22, 23, 24, 2008
A 4 Day Event
The
Clipsal 500 Adelaide is recognised as the best event on the Australian
motor sport calendar. The drivers say it is the best, so do the
teams, the sponsors, and of course the thousands of race fans.
Where
else can you get full-blooded V8 Action on city streets, air displays
that will blow your mind, other race catergories that set the
scene for others to follow like Nations Cup and V8 BRutes, and
finishing the day off with great after race concerts? The answer

Goolwa
Wooden Boat Festival 7,8 9 March 2009
This popular festival for wooden boats is run every two years, south
of Adelaide at the historic river town of Goolwa, which is at the
mouth of the River Murray
Steam powered paddle boats, wooden sailing boats, bands, the Stem
Ranger Steam Trains, wooden boat building competitions just to name
a few of the attractions.
Great local wines and produce are available for tastings and purchase.

SKYCITY Adelaide Cup Day - Horse Racing Event

year Adelaide comes alive with race fever for the Skycity
Adelaide Cup Carnival. Staged at the Morphettville Racecourse.
The carnival attracts both local and interstate visitors and racing
identities, and also offers great food and fashion, and a tremendous
atmosphere.

About 20 wineries combine with top restaurants locally and from
Adelaide to bring you just about every ocean delight you can imagine.
Add a mix of Adelaide's top bands playing Classic Blues and Funky
Jazz, all with the backdrop of the picturesque hills of the Mount
Lofty Ranges & the vines of McLaren Vale.

Bay
to Birdwood - A Vintage Run
2008 BAY TO BIRDWOOD
Sunday 28th September 2008
Staged annually on the last Sunday in September when more than
1500 vehicles line up to drive the 70km route from The Start at
Adelaide Shores, West Beach to The Finish at the National Motor
Museum Birdwood watched by over 100 000 spectators along the way.
This
icon major national event celebrates the history and culture ofthe
motor vehicle in Australia, and is internationally acclaimed asthe
largest most continually staged historic vehicle event held anywhere
in the world.
The “Run” held in even numbered years is for vintage/veteran
vehiclesmanufactured pre 1955 whilst the “Classic”
held in odd numbered years is for vehicles built post 1955 and
at least 30 years old.Both
events are accompanied by 12 days of daily motoring events hostedby
individual vehicle clubs with entry open to anyone irrespective
of theirmake/model/year
of vehicle.
The next Run will be held Sunday 28th September 2008
